If you wish to install the appliance in a cupboard, please note the following:

1. Leave at least 5 cm of space on both sides and at the back.

2. Ensure there is sufficient space for ventilation.

CHANGING THE DOOR HINGE

(Not applicable to the Retro mini fridge)

1. Remove the left and right hinge covers.

2. Loosen the screws on the lower hinge. Remove the lower hinge.

3. Lift the door downwards and place it on the floor.

4. Remove the upper hinge.

5. Fit the left upper hinge to the left side of the minibar.

6. Insert the door from below and secure it to the left upper hinge.

7. Fit the hinge pin of the lower hinge to the left-hand side of the door.

8. Screw the lower hinge securely into the minibar.

9. Replace the left and right hinge covers.

The maximum cooling capacity of our thermoelectric mini-fridges is approximately 17 °C below the ambient temperature. At an ambient temperature of 23–25 °C, the mini-fridge can reach an internal temperature of 6–8 °C. The unit is equipped with a thermostat control, meaning that as soon as the desired temperature is reached, the unit stops further cooling, thereby saving energy.

No, our fridge doesn’t use a compressor; it uses a Peltier element. Thanks to this technology, the fridge is virtually silent.

The fridge has energy efficiency class E.

The average annual energy consumption is 77 kWh.

The problem may be easy to resolve. Please carry out the following checks:

1. Ensure adequate heat dissipation:

• Make sure there is sufficient space at the back and top of the fridge to allow for proper heat dissipation.
• Note that the thermoelectric fridge can cool to approximately 18°C below the ambient temperature.

2. Check the temperature control setting:

• Check the temperature control setting▪
• L = (Low Temperature) Low temperature ▪ H = (Higher Temperature) Higher temperature

3. Overheating protection (thermal fuse):

• If the fridge is not cooling at all, the overheat protection may have tripped and the appliance may have switched itself off automatically.
• To reset the thermal fuse: Check the heat exchanger pipe at the back of the fridge:

▷ If it is hot, unplug the fridge and allow it to cool down to room temperature. Then plug it back in.

▷ If it has already cooled down, unplug it, wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

4. Check that it is operating correctly:

• If you have one, use an energy consumption monitor plug to check whether the fridge is working properly again. (Depending on the internal temperature and settings, the appliance draws between 35 and 60W in active cooling mode.)
• If you do not have an energy monitor, check after a few hours of use whether the cooling plate inside the fridge is cold.

Water in the fridge is usually condensation caused by the door being opened frequently, warm food, or porous door seals. Please ensure that as little warm air as possible enters the fridge.

Annual energy consumption was determined under standardised laboratory conditions for ‘cellar compartments’ at a room temperature of 25°C and a target cooling temperature of 12°C.

If the cooling control is set to a lower temperature than the specified 12°C range, energy consumption will increase. Energy consumption will also be higher if the ambient temperature exceeds 25°C. In summer, when room temperatures are higher, consumption is also higher.

In winter, however, when room temperatures drop, consumption is also lower.

Other factors that negatively affect consumption:

• Heat build-up at the rear due to insufficient ventilation;
• Direct sunlight;
• Frequent opening of the minibar door
